Abstract
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia consists of protrusion of the abdominal organ into the thoracic cavity through a diaphragmatic defect. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia has been associated with neural tube defect, gut malrotation, cardiovascular
abnormalities, lung hyperplasia. Cardiovascular abnormalities have been found in 23 percent of newborn babies with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Ventricular septal defect and tetralogy of Fallot were the most common anomalies, congenital
diaphragmatic hernia associated with other anomalies are thought to be responsible for most antenatal deaths, and they were present in 90 percent of stillbirths.
We experienced a case of congenital diaphragmatic hernia associated with congenital endocardial cushion defect.
